Game News The Boeing 737 takes off for Microsoft Flight Simulator with PMDG
The Boeing 737, an iconic aircraft in the world of aviation, was until now the conspicuous absentee from the revival of the Microsoft Flight Simulator series. However, in previous versions, the Boeing single-aisle was widely represented with a first appearance in Microsoft Flight Simulator 95. The American publisher PMDG corrects this injustice and offers its second extension: the PMDG 737-700 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The 737 in general is a the most used short/medium range aircraft on the planet and some companies have made it their spearhead such as Ryanair. There’s a 737 landing or taking off every two seconds. The PMDG 737-700 for Microsoft Flight Simulator currently offers the 3rd generation of 737 called NG for Next Generation. This is the previous version of the “Max” variant which has just entered service.
The PMDG 737-700 for Microsoft Flight Simulator is an ultra faithful representation of the eponymous plane. If piloting an airliner in an ultra realistic way has always been your dream, or if the job of pilot tempts you, well know that this extension will allow you to fly the Boeing 737-700 in a very realistic way. Other versions of the aircraft will be released later in the year such as the 600, 800 and 900 series.
The level of realism is such that it can be used in pilot training to reduce learning costs. Indeed, cadet pilots must pass a QT (Qualification Traning) on board real simulators in airlines whose flight time is simply astronomical.
This extension for Microsoft Flight Simulator can therefore help young apprentices to familiarize themselves with the systems of the aircraft in order to potentially reduce costly simulation sessions.
If you are a beginner, rest assured, Microsoft Flight Simulator and PMDG offer advanced piloting aids. For example, if starting the aircraft is too complex for you, you can use the menus to choose to start the engines running directly on the runway threshold. Nothing forces you to follow the procedures on line. But it’s always pleasant to think that you’re flying a plane that’s larger than life!
Based on the bestseller released a few years earlier on Prepar3D and Microsoft Flight Simulator X, this new version incorporates all the features.
The PMDG 737-700 is available now on the website of PMDG for 69.99$ or more or less 66€. Note that it is unfortunately only available for the PC version of the title. The extension is not yet available on the official store.
