Game news Spelunky 1 and 2: a Switch release for the end of the summer?
Announced on Switch last December for a release scheduled this summer, Spelunky and Spelunky 2 have seen their release date be specified on Nintendo’s digital store.
It was Vooks, an Australian site dedicated to Nintendo news, that noticed the change. On Australia’s Nintendo eShop, Spelunky and Spelunky 2 are both tagged with a release for August 26th. A date that does not appear on the French Nintendo store. It will therefore be necessary to wait for an official communication from the firm before claiming victory.
An observation all the more strange, especially since yesterday took place the Nintendo Indie World. This 20-minute event returned to various announcements concerning games made by independent studios. We learned that Loop Hero will be released on Switch this winter, while Axiom Verge 2 arrived by surprise yesterday. But no Spelunky on the program.
Nonetheless, Spelunky and Spelunky 2 are already available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The two titles, developed by Mossmoth, combine platforms, exploration and resource management.
