Game News Sonic Frontiers: one of the game’s characters revealed because of a leak?
Today, SEGA’s blue mascot kills two birds with one stone as it celebrates both its birthday and the launch of a collection compiling old games stamped Sonic in an updated version. Among the players who have jumped on this gem of a collection, there is a band of dataminers who, failing to scour the levels of the games, have preferred to explore the depths of this collection to find… clues to Sonic Frontiers!

Sonic Frontiers didn’t tell us everything
On the occasion of the Summer Game Fest period, the next game from Team Sonic, namely Sonic Frontiersreturned to the front of the stage after causing a sensation during The Game Awards Ceremony. Finally, for the assembly, it was no longer the enthusiasm of the beginnings, but the cold shower. Its world and its combats have raised some reservations from playersreservations to which Takashi Iizuka responded by arguing that he didn’t see the game world as open and fans didn’t understand this new gameplay.
That is. The confidence of Team Sonic is not eroded and the developers continue to believe in this project which should be a major turning point for the next decade of Sonic games. All this suggests that Takashi Iizuka’s teams have not revealed everything yet and that the game could include features or other content that should make players smile again.. In this case, first leaks on the game could have revealed new details to us on the title!
A world too vast to accommodate only Sonic?
It is not yet known on what occasion we will see images of Sonic Frontiers, but surprisingly it is the other games in the license that seem to be giving us information. As reported by our colleagues on the site nintendo life, dataminer by the name of @ahremic on Twitter has dug up a list of files that are, in fact, intended for Sonic Frontiers and not Sonic Origins. For example, we learn that the menus in the collection were created using tools used in the development of Sonic Frontiers.
However, this is not what interests us! Between the appearance of mentions around the “Chaos Emerald Stages”, it’s the term “FishingBigFirstTalked” that catches our attention because it could be a reference to Big The Cat, one of Sonic’s friends who never stops fishing to save his companion Froggy. Mini-games planned in Sonic Frontiers ? Given that this is a leak, all this remains to be taken with a grain of salt: nothing excludes the fact that these elements are currently no longer part of Sonic Frontiers. We just have to wait for a future communication from SEGA on the characters that we can meet there to confirm or deny all this!
