Game News SIFU unleashes its fury in a hard-hitting live-action short!
In this month of February, the competition promises to be tough but SIFU is determined to make the fists speak. His new strategy to mark the spirits? Make his game, a tribute to the classics of kung-fu and martial arts films, an equally punchy live-action adaptation. And the least we can say is that the result is as nervous as the title of Sloclap.
We are only a handful of days away from the release of the latest title from the studio behind Absolver ! To start this final stretch, Sloclap decided to put aside the warm-up to attack immediately in the hardwood. Last week, we had the right to dive into the very heart of the game’s sound design: the perfect opportunity to discover the work of the developers as well as the creations of composer Howie Lee.
However, the teams had kept an asset in their kimono sleeve! As if to complete the circle of their influences, the developers had the idea of filming a live action adaptation of the revenge quest of the hero of the game. For nine minutes, the hero comes to life and can’t resist the urge to distribute devastating blows and devastating techniques to get rid of the small fry!
A punchy short film that is not joking!
We understood: after what happened, the character of SIFU is not there to discuss. Indeed, Sloclap’s game traces the thirst for revenge of a young kung-fu discipline whose master was killed for a group of assassins. Deprived of his teachings, the apprentice nevertheless received a strange pendant as a bequest which allows him to come back to life in the event of death: older and more fragile, certainly, but above all stronger! While waiting for the imminent release, you can take a look at our recent preview.
To pay some sort of additional homage, the Parisian studio teams therefore called on director Christopher Clark Cowan, who officiates on the RivenX3i YouTube channelto bring the hard-hitting action of their upcoming title to life.. Shot thousands of miles from the premises, in Los Angeles to be precise, the short film matches the energy of Sloclap’s future hit.
For nine minutes – the extract is available at the top of the article – we find the main character of the game during his hunt for Fajar, one of the names he wishes to cross off his list. Before meeting him, he must get rid of many assailants in striking choreographies. But it’s not the number that scares him: we let you discover the intensity of the fights which, without a doubt, will give you a slap in the face!
