news tip Minecraft: this new creative mode feature will make your life easier! Our guide
A new Minecraft snapshot is available, and it brings with it a lot of fixes that should improve the gameplay experience, but also a brand new and very interesting feature in terms of building. We will explain everything to you !
A new snapshot for your favorite building game
Minecraft, Mojang’s sandbox game, regularly offers updates to fix bugs and bring new features to this game that is loved by its community. Between two updates, the developers also give players access to snapshotsversions of the game featuring sometimes non-final features which fans can try for bugs before they are officially implemented in the game through an update.
Only available for the Java version of Minecraft, you can download these snapshots directly from the game launcher. At the start of 2022, a new snapshot is available for players to prepare for the next update, and in addition to fixing many bugs, it also allows access to a brand new feature that is used to place objects such as grass and trees much more easily.
The new command that will please budding builders
In this snapshot, you now have access to the command “placefeature” which, as its name suggests, allows you to place objects in your world. These are objects generated by the world itself, such as flowers, trees, but also buildings from NPC villages and even the new amethyst geodes added in June 2021.
To place these objects, you must activate the command console with the T key and enter the command “/placefeature” there which will scroll the list of all placeable objects. Choose the one you want and its position and press Entrance to place it. Some objects can only be placed on certain surfaces, like chorus plants which can only be planted in the Endas you can see in the video below:
This is a very useful feature for creating forests in particular, because you can generate trees regardless of your position. The ingenuity of this tool will undoubtedly make life easier for players looking to change the appearance of a map, whether they are new to construction or very experienced.
If you want to try this new feature, you will need to install the developer version of the game. However, we advise you to make a copy of your backups before proceeding, as the snapshots could potentially corrupt them.. Once this is done, you can follow the instructions below:
You just have to launch the associated version of the game to test the latest snapshot!
