news culture Alan Wake: a TV series by the channel behind Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead!
Alan Wake is definitely at the heart of the news these days, and for good reason: a second game is in preparation and a Switch port of the remaster too. As for the TV series, this one gives very interesting news…
Alan Wake finally back, and for good!
Yesterday was held a livestream dedicated to the anniversary of Alan Wake, a title developed by Remedy Entertainment and released as a Microsoft exclusive… in 2010 already. This does not rejuvenate us at all but fortunately, we are now talking about a franchise since a second installment was announced during the Game Awards 2021, last December.
The terrible cliffhanger of the original title should finally find an answer, after all these years: on the other hand, do not expect news of the software so soon, as we indicated in our article.
AMC recovers the rights for Alan Wake
This livestream was also an opportunity to give news of the television series Alan Wake: it was actually confirmed in 2018 (it should be remembered) through a timid announcement. The big news of the day is therefore that everything will be piloted and broadcast by AMC, an American channel known for Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Mad Men or The Walking Dead. And it’s obviously very interesting to see what the platform will do with this unique universe, which has more than obvious narrative potential.
For the rest, that is to say the cast, the directors or even the release window, it will be necessary to go back: this information is not on the agenda since the project is only in its infancy. But at least things are moving forward and that’s always a good point: will the series be as ambitious as that of The Last of Us, designed by competitor HBO and which will be based on great fidelity to the video game ? Answer in a few years, probably.
